[For Denzel Crocker] Oh, what a tangled web *I* wove...

One morning, three days after his peculiar encounter with a peculiar but kindly older man, Crocker might awaken to find a parchment envelope slipped under his door, written on it in a neat if spidery hand:

Greetings, Master Crocker,

I promised I would show you something marvelous: if you go up to the third floor corridor, you will find a large red wardrobe standing against one wall. Open the doors and step through, and you will find the answer to your request.

If Denzel follows the instructions, he'll find himself looking at a tall, ornate cabinet...

These being unicorns of Kaeleer, where Dark is Not Evil folk have a healthy amount of good sex, they aren't so discriminating, and he'll see several of them, grazing contentedly, not seeming to mind his presence.

And if he looks closely, he may note that each unicorn wears a pendant bearing a large Red Jewel about their neck...

Denzel becomes wide eyed, "Unicorns?!" Not that he doubted their existance he was just wondering how he was seeing them, "Strange.." Before scratching his long fingers on the side of his head, he approaches one. This wardrobe was obvoiusly magically because it was bigger on the inside then the outside but where was he suppose to go?

One of the unicorns looks up, snorting gently, glancing up the slope that rises through the woods, then looks back to Denzel, slowly approaching, head lifted, not charging, just coming closer.

Denzel stares at the unicorn and then where the unicorn is looking and then back at the unicorn, "That way?"

The unicorn will turn sidewise before Denzel and kneel, glancing over its shoulder toward its back and then looking back to the human, as if offering him a lift.

Really. It's a very accommodating unicorn.

Crocker pauses a moment or two as if he's debating to trust the unicorn. Though at first he's surpised,

"I can try."

Denzel swings his lanky body onto the unicorns back. The unicorn was lucky that Crocker's obession was in fairies and not unicorns.

"Since you appear to know the way, lead the way?"

The unicorn sets off up the hill, at a gentle, easy walk, almost an amble. The woods around them grow lighter, the trees thinning out as they approach the crest of the hill.

At the top, the unicorn pauses, looking out over a valley laid out below, a lush, green place with trees and banks of wildflowers, glowing in the sunlight, a river winding away from them. In the distance, a castle can be seen on another hill, its spires rising toward the flawless blue sky overhead.

Riding the unicorn proved to be rather painful, all things considerd that Denzel hadn't ever ridden a horse much less a unicorn, "I suppose that's where we're headed?"

As he clings to the mane, gazing up at the castle and then back to the unicorn. He was wondering what this place, seemed so familar. Like he's read it somewhere...

The unicorn will nod its head. "If you like," the critter replies, in Saetan's friendly dark voice.

Denzel flips out and falls out and falls off the unicorn, "OW! Since when do unicorns speak? ... And in a familair voice." Staring into your eye.

The form of the unicorn may flicker, and then Saetan is just suddenly *there*, kneeling before Denzel, smiling at him as if this is the biggest and yet most affectionate prank ever. "It was I, all this time," he says. "But we can walk the rest of the way, if you prefer."

Denzel jumps a bit, one would think after all of this time in his world he'd be use to this by now but no, he's still high strong, "WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?! Trying to make me think I'm crazy, which I am but that's besides the point..." There's a pause, "It is impressive you're able to do that. I'd rather walk, don't really know how to ride a unicorn... Where are we anyways?"

"It's no more difficult than riding a horse, though my daughter could tell you more, since she had several friends who were unicorns," he says, gazing across the valley. "This place is meant to look like a place I'd read about in a series of books by a gentleman named C. S. Lewis. But as to *where* we are, I bent a pocket of space and substance, using a spell which we call a web."
